Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients. Your role will involve assisting with patient care, implementing treatment plans, and documenting progress. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and assessing patients' conditions
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, mobility, and coordination
- Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Instruct patients on proper use of assistive devices and therapeutic equipment
- Monitor patients' progress and document treatment outcomes
- Communicate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with occupational health and acute care settings
- Experience in providing patient care and implementing treatment plans
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
