About this job
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the oversight of SUE investigations and utility design plans. This role requires an understanding of utility design. You will be responsible for managing utility design projects from preliminary site investigation through municipal submittal. The role includes oversight of junior staff and review of design plans, coordination with field operation supervisors, and working with municipalities to obtain design plan approval.
Essential Functions and Duties
Communicate with clients on utility designs, conflicts, and resolutions.
Review and supervise junior staff members on Utility Plan set production.
Coordinate with governing municipalities through plan submittal process.
Recommend where supplemental field investigation is necessary.
Requirements
EIT certification required
Colorado PE, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, required
Minimum 2 years of experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering and/or Utility Design experience
Local market experience preferred but not required
Salary
$90,000 – $120,000
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledgeable in the use of utility designation devices, ground penetrating radar and vacuum excavators.
Experience with technical software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and/or MicroStation platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to handle tight deadlines
