Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Iron Work Helper to join construction team. In this role, you will assist skilled iron workers and masons in performing various tasks related to reinforcing steel, formwork, and concrete structures. Your contributions will support the successful completion of construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities
Assist with the installation of rebar and metal stud framing according to blueprint specifications and technical drawings.
Support the construction of formwork and concrete forms, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
Help with the operation of power tools, hand tools, and concrete mixers to facilitate concrete pouring and finishing tasks.
Participate in rebar cutting, bending, and placement to reinforce concrete structures effectively.
Assist with concrete pouring, finishing, and surface smoothing to meet project standards.
Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations during daily activities on construction sites.
Support heavy lifting operations and ensure proper handling of materials such as steel bars, form panels, and masonry components.
Interpret construction plans and blueprints accurately to assist in executing project requirements.
Contribute to masonry work including stucco application, plastering, caulking, and renovation tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently throughout the project duration.
Requirements
Previous experience working on construction projects or in a related labor role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and concrete equipment are essential.
Understanding of construction estimating principles and blueprint reading is advantageous.
Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations is required to ensure compliance at all times.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for demanding tasks.
Experience with rebar installation, concrete cutting, pouring, finishing, or formwork construction is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating effectively with team members.
