Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for customer transactions
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist in merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure product availability and visibility
- Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products and services
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette
- Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is a plus
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and stocking procedures is beneficial
