Job Coach – KOA Campground Contract (Janitorial & Vocational Support)
Reports To: Contracts Manager / KOA Campground Management (Daily Site Coordination)
Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Part-Time (Approximately 24–32 hours per week)
Work Location: KOA Campground – Morgantown, WV
Position Summary
PACE Enterprises is seeking a dependable and compassionate Job Coach to support individuals with disabilities in developing valuable workplace skills while performing janitorial and hospitality-related services at a KOA Campground location in Morgantown, WV.
This position combines hands-on vocational coaching with janitorial responsibilities in a real-world employment setting. The Job Coach will provide training, encouragement, supervision, and support to individuals participating in PACE Enterprises’ employment programs while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for campground guests.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping others succeed, is patient and encouraging, and takes pride in creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to gain independence, confidence, and meaningful work experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Vocational Coaching & Individual Support

Provide direct job coaching and support to individuals with disabilities participating in employment services programs.

Train individuals on proper workplace expectations, job duties, safety procedures, and customer service skills.

Implement individualized training strategies based on program plans and employment goals.

Observe, assess, and document individuals’ progress, work skills, and areas for continued development.

Provide encouragement, guidance, and feedback to help individuals build confidence and independence in the workplace.

Promote positive workplace relationships between individuals, PACE staff, KOA employees, and campground guests.

Assist individuals with developing skills related to communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and workplace professionalism.

Complete required documentation, data entry, and progress notes within established timelines.

Communicate concerns, successes, and recommendations regarding individuals’ performance to appropriate PACE staff.
Janitorial & Campground Support Responsibilities

Train and support individuals in completing campground cleaning and sanitation duties.

Clean and prepare campground cabins between guest stays.

Clean and sanitize campground restrooms, shower houses, cabins, and common areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.

Clean windows, mirrors, doors, fixtures, and other surfaces as needed.

Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

Restock restroom supplies, including soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.

Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged property, or supply needs to KOA management.

Follow all safety procedures and proper use of cleaning products and equipment.

Maintain a professional appearance and positive working relationship with campground staff and guests.

Assist with seasonal or special cleaning projects as assigned.
Note: This position does not include responsibility for laundering linens, bedding, or guest laundry services.
Schedule Expectations
Typical work hours are approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The regular schedule will generally consist of three (3) days per week, with the potential for a fourth day based on operational needs.
Anticipated workdays may include Monday, Tuesday, and either Thursday or Friday. Weekend availability may be required based on campground operations, including holidays, peak camping seasons, and special events.
Scheduling will be coordinated with KOA management and PACE Enterprises program needs.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.

Ability to push, pull, and maneuver cleaning equipment and supplies.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Ability to assist individuals with personal supports, workplace needs, or physical assistance as required.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to travel throughout the campground and between work areas with individuals being supported.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a campground setting, including cabins, bathhouses, offices, outdoor areas, and common guest facilities.
The position involves working alongside individuals receiving vocational support services and may include exposure to cleaning products, varying weather conditions, noise, and frequent movement throughout the worksite.
Personal protective equipment will be provided as necessary.
Additional Duties

Qualifications

A desire to work in a mission-driven nonprofit organization and support individuals with disabilities.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

Previous experience in vocational training, human services, education, hospitality, janitorial services, or related fields preferred.

Ability to provide clear instructions in an encouraging and supportive manner.

Ability to complete accurate written documentation and electronic data entry.

Experience using computer applications or web-based systems preferred.

Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with PACE staff and site partners.

Flexible schedule to meet program and business needs.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Must successfully complete required trainings, including but not limited to First Aid, CPR, and MANDT training.

Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to provide transportation support as needed utilizing agency or personal vehicle.
