As a core face of this inspiring, inclusive brand, the barista is responsible for hand-crafting premium specialty drinks from single-origin roasts, maintaining flawless cafe sanitation, and bringing your authentic self, a warm attitude, and an uplifting energy to every transaction and guest.
Job Responsibilities
- Drink Preparation: Hand-craft specialty coffee, espresso beverages, and teas to the highest quality standards using single-origin roasts.
- Customer Service: Welcome guests warmly to project the cafe’s mission of inspiration, positivity, and community unity.
- POS Operations: Accurately process cash and digital transactions, ring up orders via the POS system, and manage customer lines efficiently.
- Cafe Cleanliness: Maintain an immaculate, organized, and sanitary bar space, service counter, and seating area.
- Menu Education: Confidently guide guests through signature roasts, custom beverage options, and local pastry pairings.
- Team Operations: Cross-train for all front-of-house roles and collaborate seamlessly with shift teammates to handle peak hours.
- Task Management: Complete all daily opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks according to company procedures and local health regulations.]
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous barista or customer service experience in a retail or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Hourly Pay: Standard compensation begins at $14.13 per hour, depending on shifts and individual experience plus tips.
- Hours & Flexibility: Available for part-time shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM based on the needs of the cafe. Occasionally, special events after hours may require additional hours.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
