Now Hiring: Medical Billing Support Team (Multiple Roles)
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday (occasional Saturday OT)
Pay: $13.50–$15+ per hour (based on experience)
People Plus is looking for candidates for a fast-paced office supporting billing operations. We’re hiring for multiple positions that work together to ensure accurate claims processing, payment posting, and customer support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Entering and verifying patient demographics and insurance information
- Coding and preparing ambulance claims for billing
- Handling combined roles that manage both patient info and coding processes
- Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets; importing/exporting data between systems
- Processing deposits, verifying payments, and maintaining accurate records
- Posting payments into billing software and reconciling accounts
- Reviewing accounts for refunds and processing accordingly
- Contacting insurance companies, hospitals, and patients to check claim status
- Filing appeals for denied or unpaid claims and following up on outstanding balances
- Supporting specialized roles (Auto, Medicaid, Contract Clerks) with claim follow-ups
- Answering inbound calls, assisting patients, and processing payments
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong Excel and basic math skills
- Comfortable working with data and multiple systems
- Good communication skills for phone and customer interaction
- Insurance knowledge and EOB understanding is a plus (not required)
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
