Ampersand Therapy is hiring Special Education Teachers for current and upcoming opportunities throughout Washington State for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an evergreen posting designed to connect with talented Special Education Teachers for a variety of school-based openings. Positions may be available at the preschool, elementary, middle, or high school level and may include resource, self-contained, inclusion, life skills, behavioral support, transition, and other specialized programs.

Grade Levels: Preschool through High School (varies by assignment)

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
-
Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with student goals and state standards
-
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
-
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
-
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional collaboration
-
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology as appropriate

Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development
-
Valid Washington State Special Education teaching certificate (or eligibility to obtain one)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

School-based experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
