Duties
- Supervise daily store activities, including sales, inventory management, and customer service to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Manage shift schedules, assign tasks, and oversee cashiering, stocking, merchandising, and inventory control.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and resolve issues promptly to enhance satisfaction.
- Oversee POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, returns, and refunds while ensuring accurate cash handling and bookkeeping.
- Coordinate purchasing and pricing strategies to optimize sales and inventory turnover.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing prospective employees and onboarding new team members.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or assistant management experience in retail or similar fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations including sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and foster positive relationships with customers and staff alike.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated leadership in training & development initiatives, team management, and employee orientation programs.
- Familiarity with retail math, budgeting, marketing strategies, and POS systems is preferred.
- Prior experience in grocery stores or wireless sales environments is a plus; however, a passion for retail management and customer service is essential.
