We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a custodian. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The custodian will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, trash receptacles and public areas.
Because one of the primary functions of this position is to oversee the cleanliness of the female restroom, a female is required to fill the position.
12 to 24 hrs per week. We may be flexible on the hours and days actually worked to accomodate an applicant.
There may be additional hours during the week for those interested to cover call outs or vacations.
Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed.
Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, common space and parking lot
Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
1+ years janitorial/custodian experience preferred
Willingness to work early morning or late-night shifts
Ability to work well under minimal supervision
Capacity to take direction
Strong attention to detail
Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
