Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced hair stylist. You will be expected to bring expertise in hair styling, coloring, and hair care to our team, creating looks that satisfies our clients and serves their wants and needs. As an integral part of our team, you will utilize your skills in both technical services and client communication to build lasting relationships and foster a welcoming atmosphere, both with guests and other salon team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services
- Provide expert advice on hair care, product recommendations, and maintenance tips tailored to each client’s needs
- Answer phones and book appoints
- Keep cleaning tools, stations, and work areas clean and in accordance with health regulations
- Stay current on industry trends, new techniques, and product knowledge (not required, but a bonus!)
- Assist with store management duties when needed
- Upsell retail products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales
- Communicate clearly with clients about their desired outcomes, providing professional recommendations based on color theory and hair styling principles
- NOT REQUIRED BUT PREFERRED: Bringing an already established clientele to the salon
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry, at least 2-3 years
- Expertise in hair coloring techniques
- Skilled with hair cutting and maintenance for various textures and styles
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
