Cook Position Details: Pork Belly Farmhouse Cooks take pride in every plate, making sure they are picture perfect. Always ensuring the freshest products are being used to prepare our dishes, the line is maintained clean, organized and stocked throughout the shift. The ideal candidate also understands the company’s cost and insures proper recipe adherence, and always follows proper health code requirements, food rotation, labeling and sanitation practices.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Demonstrated full service restaurant cooking experience
Able to follow written recipes and order tickets
Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing tasks/ Sense of urgency is a must
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Ability to work on your feet for 8 or more hours a day
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis
Flexible schedule - extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
Education and Experience Requirements :
High school graduate or equivalent, culinary education a plus
Minimum 2 years’ full service restaurant experience
