Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Electrical Field Technician to join our team in supporting the safe and efficient operation of nuclear facilities. This role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical systems within a nuclear environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, diagnostic tools usage, and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to interpret complex schematics and electrical blueprints. Duties
- Perform nuclear outage support activities.
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and service overhead cranes and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair AC/DC motor control systems, including magnetic controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and flux vector drives.
- Install conduit, pull wire, and perform electrical terminations.
- Conduct operational testing to verify equipment performance and functionality.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Identify and execute efficient solutions to complete assigned work safely and accurately.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Understand and comply with applicable electrical codes and industry standards.
- Complete inspection reports, service documentation, and related job records accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers for email, scheduling, timekeeping, and report preparation.
- Ability to multitask and support field operations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a technical, industrial, military, or related environment.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Experience with radio controls is a plus.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as required.
Preferred Background
- Manufacturing maintenance within an industrial environment.
- Graduate of a technical or trade school.
- Military experience, including Navy Electrician's Mate or Nuclear Outage Technician backgrounds.

- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
