Manage the procurement of materials, spare parts, tools, office supplies, and services required to support plant operations. Ensure timely availability of products, maintain accurate records, and build strong supplier relationships while supporting cost control and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers for spare parts, tools, office supplies, equipment, and operational services.
- Request quotations and compare pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service agreements with vendors.
- Create, process, and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain inventory levels of critical spare parts, consumables, and supplies.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders and specifications.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Warehouse, and Accounting teams to support business needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Update and maintain information in company ERP, purchasing, inventory, and management systems.
- Track warranties, service agreements, and vendor documentation.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Provide administrative and operational support to various departments as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or a related role.
- Experience purchasing spare parts, tools, office supplies, equipment, and operational materials.
- Manufacturing or food industry experience preferred.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
