American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg PCU Telemetry night shift position at a critical access hospital in Vermont, requiring at least 5 years of experience and the ability to perform charge nurse duties.

Critical access hospital with 25 beds serving the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont
-
Combined PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry unit
-
Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, including every other weekend
-
Floating required to other units including the ED and MCH as needed
-
13-week contract

Active VT or Compact RN license required

Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS

Minimum 5 years of RN experience required

Critical access hospital, PCU, telemetry, or Med/Surg experience required

Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties

Must be able to float to other units including ED and MCH

Attendance at department quarterly education sessions is required

Personal transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation in the area is very limited

The hospital is located in Newport, VT, a small town on the Canadian border known for outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
