Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
You clock in at 7:00 AM, review the day’s build sheets, and prep your MIG, TIG, and laser stations for a high-efficiency production run. With blueprints in hand, you set up the equipment, confirm materials, and begin laying clean, consistent beads. Throughout the day, you’ll shift between fabricating components, making tight, accurate welds, and verifying every dimension and joint against engineering specifications. When needed, you’ll grind, finish, and perform minor fitting to ensure a perfect final product, keeping your work area clean and your equipment running at peak performance.
- Execute production welding using MIG, TIG, and laser processes on a range of metal parts.
- Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and production drawings with precision.
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld components to meet engineering and quality requirements.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
- Set up and fine-tune welding equipment for different materials and jobs.
- Perform grinding, finishing, and light fitting as needed to complete assemblies.
- Maintain welding equipment; report maintenance and repair needs promptly.
- Adhere to safety procedures, quality standards, and production targets.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated production welding experience.
- Hands-on proficiency with MIG and TIG welding (required); laser welding experience (preferred).
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings (required).
- Accurate tape measure reading and use of precision measuring tools (required).
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and on a team.
