Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to each client's individual needs and preferences
- Assess clients’ health history and discuss their wellness goals to develop effective treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or therapies
- Keep detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and any relevant health information
- Ensure all massage equipment and supplies are properly maintained and sanitized after each use
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages client comfort, trust, and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice legally
- Proven experience delivering various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or aromatherapy massages
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients in a professional manner
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for massage therapy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all health regulations and ethical standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends as needed
