Overview
This CNC Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of 3, 4 or 5 axis CNC machining centers.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate a variety of CNC equipment to produce quality products
· First off audits, in-process inspection checks
· Loading and unloading of parts from machines/fixtures
· Participation in improvement activities related to the machine and/or machining process
· Performing routine inspections of product using a variety of inspection tooling/gauges (i.e. micrometer, vernier, calipers, height gauge, shadow graph, etc)
· Manage tools, fixtures, part programs, and gauges at the machine
· Operate CNC machinery to established production rates and deadlines
· Effectively communicate necessary information to Supervisor and co-workers for each shift on a daily basis
· Adhere to and strongly advocate for DESCH’s Health & Safety Procedures and PPE Guidelines
· Additional duties as required
· Create CNC Machine programs
· Proficient knowledge of CNC Machine tooling
Skills and Experience
· Post-secondary education related to machining
· 3, 4 or 5 axis horizontal set up experience on CNC machining equipment
· Part prove-out experience/communicating with programming
· Good understanding and experience with work off-sets
· Blueprint reading capabilities; including, knowledge of GD & T principles, understanding of CMM reports, and experience using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments (i.e. verniers, micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc)
· Good reading and math skills required; capable of completing assigned tasks from written/verbal instruction
· Good verbal, written communication skills
· Ability to demonstrate effort to troubleshoot and make improvements to job-related processes
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment
· Good attention to detail and results oriented
· Strong sense of teamwork within group and across organization
· Experience with Fanuc controls

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
