Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician/Cashier, to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English (also Hindi), with experience using the Micro Merchant system. This position currently require availability on Saturdays as well.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions
- Enter prescription and patient information accurately into the system
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers
- Operate cash register and process payments
- Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
- Stock shelves and manage inventory supplies
- Handle insurance information and prescription billing
- Follow all pharmacy regulations and HIPAA compliance requirements
- Coordinate and complete local deliveries as needed
- Assist customers with over-the-counter product selection
Requirements
- Previous pharmacy technician or retail cashier experience preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred (if applicable by state)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for deliveries
- Ability to lift boxes and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills
- Experience with pharmacy software systems
- Bilingual candidates are a plus
- Knowledge of insurance processing and prior authorizations
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
