Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role involves working on construction sites and in manufacturing environments, where you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal structures according to specifications. A commitment to safety and quality is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete tasks.
- Conduct fabrication processes including ductwork assembly and machining.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials as needed.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in work.
- Follow ASME codes & standards during all welding operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and pipe welding in construction or manufacturing environments.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings with confidence.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, pipefitting, fabrication processes, and HVAC systems is essential.
- Familiarity with safety regulations such as OSHA standards, NFPA codes for fire sprinkler fitting, ASME standards for piping systems, and power tool safety protocols.
- Skilled in using hand tools like calipers and power tools safely and effectively; experience with tube bending is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimations.
- Construction site experience or manufacturing background demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures for lifting heavy materials safely during installation or fabrication tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues promptly.

Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour
