We are currently seeking a motivated
Network Engineer to join our team, supporting a U.S. Government customer in providing critical onsite incident response for civilian government agencies and key asset owners facing cyber-attacks. In this role, you will play a vital part in immediate investigations and resolutions, ensuring the security and integrity of vital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your advanced analytical and technical skills to design and implement innovative infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and empower command decision-making.
- Collaborate in the seamless integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments, contributing to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
- Assess network topology and device configurations to identify critical security vulnerabilities, while recommending and implementing security best practices to safeguard our systems.
- Provide exceptional user support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix, and platforms including MacOS and iOS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues, from basic network problems to complex challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Implement granular access controls, monitor system performance and accessibility, establish and maintain backup protocols, and uphold stringent security measures.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks, supporting replication strategies and remediating storage-related incidents.
- Design, build, and maintain resilient network environments by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, while regularly updating network devices and performing IP address audits.
- Ensure optimal network performance through effective troubleshooting, enforcement of system standards, and collaboration with stakeholders to enhance our infrastructure.
- Secure network systems through rigorous policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring to protect critical assets.

Requirements:
Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
- 5+ years of directly relevant experience in network administration
- Proficiency with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and MacOS
- Strong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration
- Skilled in working with virtual desktop environments (Citrix, VMware)
- Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches
- Experience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g., FlexPod) and NetApp storage systems
- Proficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation/optimization
- Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPs
- Capable of creating and maintaining network diagrams
- Demonstrated experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuning
- Project management capabilities and excellent time-management skills
- Expertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced security
Required Education:
BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years network administration, network engineering or systems administration experience.

- DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II
