Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support service and maintenance operations on Kauai. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems ranging from 5 to 100 tons. The ideal candidate brings strong field experience, sound technical judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Service and Repair
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, and packaged equipment (5–100 ton range)
- Perform system start-ups, shutdowns, and functional testing
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues
Preventative Maintenance
- Execute scheduled maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance
- Inspect equipment, identify wear or potential failures, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Customer Interaction
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers and internal teams
- Provide professional, responsive service in the field
- Support long-term client relationships through quality workmanship
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all company safety protocols and applicable regulatory requirements
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Ensure proper handling of tools, materials, and refrigerants
Qualifications
Required
- 5–10 years of HVAC field experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems (5–100 ton equipment)
- EPA Certification (Universal preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred
- Experience with building controls and automation systems
- Relevant certifications (NATE or equivalent)
- Familiarity with local codes and island-based service logistics

Compensation and Benefits
