Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repair work involving low voltage, high voltage, electrical systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of parts and tools.
- Repair and maintain HVAC/R systems, including working with HVAC units and performing welding tasks using welding techniques.
- Diagnose equipment failures through analysis skills and engineering troubleshooting methods; implement effective solutions swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Support field service operations by providing technical assistance on-site or remotely; ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Read electrical schematics and mechanical schematics accurately to facilitate precise repairs; perform welding as needed for equipment fabrication or repair.
- Assist in training team members on maintenance procedures and safety protocols; promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing or industrial facility environment with a strong background in industrial mechanic work.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance management; ability to document work accurately.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical diagnostics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and schematics reading.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, calipers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Experience with welding techniques specific to standards; ability to perform high-voltage electrical maintenance safely.
- Strong analysis skills combined with engineering troubleshooting methods to resolve complex equipment issues efficiently.
- Previous field service experience in industrial settings is highly desirable; excellent customer service skills are essential for interacting with internal teams or external clients.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately while adhering to safety regulations related to high voltage systems.
