Job Summary
This is a part-time job that entails engaging relationships with Panhandle area schools to promote the Window on a Wider World (WOWW) program. As a WOWW Representative you will work with each school district during the fall school season to book STEAM programs for the entire year. Each WOWW Rep communicates with their assigned school in their rural community. Their services explain and promote the programs to align with the teachers’ specific needs regarding the TEKS curriculum for that grade. Travel throughout the entire Panhandle is required.
Essential Job Functions
- Become knowledgeable about WOWW including history of program.
- Assist with WOWW Day Long Programs as needed/requested offered annually by WOWW.
- Communicate in timely manner with WOWW Executive Director, Program Coordinator and Site Coordinators.
- Submit a properly completed timesheet each month when due (reminders are regularly sent).
- Become familiar with the annual Educators’ Resource Guide and all its programs.
- Visit assigned schools to provide logistical support.
- Each Rep is assigned a designated ‘home territory’ to work as defined by the Executive Director.
- Each Rep will schedule a day to present WOWW and updates to each WOWW school preferably during the school’s fall in-service.
- Schedule a Fall Booking Day with each school’s site coordinator and assist teachers with program selection, helping teachers integrate programs appropriate to their curriculum
- Each Rep is required to book programs at the school using the WOWW online software.
- Work with partner organizations as assigned by Director to help them with their educational programs for the Educators’ Resource Guide such as adding TEKS and curriculum ties and/or create new programs.
- Submit required weekly and monthly communication/news letter to assigned WOWW schools via the school’s site coordinator and copy the principal and school secretary to remind them of upcoming programs/events, dates and times of programs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in education, child development or youth instruction preferred but not required.
- Willing to work part time with a focus on fall semester, closer to full-time hours in Aug.-Oct.
- Technology: Proficient in email and Internet, Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Google Docs
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Experience in education, child development or youth instruction preferred.
Other Requirements
- Competent computer skills in word-processing, excel spreadsheets, email and internet. Proficiency in logistics and sales relations. Strong communication skills, detail oriented, organized and must have reliable transportation.
Compensation
- This job pays $20.00 per hour and mileage as approved @ .72 cents per mile. Time and mileage is compensated.

- This job is part-time, hourly position. Evaluation shall be based on your performance annually determined by Executive Director. Employees of WOWW are expected to participate in activities and meetings and to work cooperatively to accomplish the mission and goals of Window on a Wider World, to represent oneself in a positive, professional manner, to honor confidential information from intentional or unintentional disclosure.

- This WOWW Rep. position will maintain flexible hours from home, but can be performed at the office if necessary.
