Overview
Texas Pro Lighting is looking for an experienced and reliable Exterior Lighting Installer / Electrician to handle residential lighting installations throughout the Houston area.
We specialize primarily in residential soffit lighting, with projects typically ranging from 20–50 lights per home. We have consistent work available and are looking for installers who want steady project volume and strong earning potential.
Pay: $30 per installed light
Typical project: 30–50 lights = $900–$1,500
We typically have 3–6 projects available per week, depending on scheduling and demand. Compensation is project/performance-based, and actual weekly earnings depend on completed installations and project volume.
Texas Pro Lighting provides the lighting fixtures. Installer is responsible for providing their own tools, transportation, and required installation wire.
Responsibilities
- Install exterior recessed/soffit lighting on residential homes
- Run and conceal electrical wiring professionally
- Install and connect switches and smart lighting controls
- Work safely from ladders and at elevated heights
- Perform installations on one-, two-, and occasionally three-story homes
- Troubleshoot lighting and electrical issues when necessary
- Test all lights and controls before completing each project
- Maintain clean, professional wiring and installation standards
- Clean the work area after installation
- Communicate professionally with customers and Texas Pro Lighting
- Arrive at scheduled projects on time and maintain reliable communication
- Complete a final walkthrough and ensure the system is operating correctly
Requirements
- Residential electrical or exterior lighting installation experience
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and at heights
- Must have reliable transportation capable of carrying tools and equipment
- Must have your own professional tools and ladders
- Must be able to provide required electrical wire for installations
- Knowledge of residential wiring, switches, circuits, and electrical safety
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and lighting issues
- Professional appearance and communication with homeowners
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
Existing 2–3 person installation crews are strongly encouraged to apply.
