Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs, including working with students with autism or requiring early intervention.
- Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, analyzing performance data to tailor instruction effectively.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and educational technology integration to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming activities through parent-teacher conferences and written reports.
- Incorporate educational technology tools and digital resources to enrich lessons and support differentiated instruction.
- Support extracurricular activities such as tutoring sessions, library services, or physical education classes to promote well-rounded development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; additional certifications in early childhood education or special education are preferred.
- Proven classroom experience teaching young children in an elementary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, standardized testing procedures, and childhood development principles.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators effectively.
- Experience working with diverse learners, including those with special needs or requiring early intervention strategies.
- Proficiency in learning technology tools, educational software, and digital resources for classroom integration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
