Job Summary
Mercedes-Benz of Daytona wants you to join our dynamic team as a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (heavyline/fleet) Technician, where your expertise in automotive repair and maintenance will drive excellence in service. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with Sprinter vans, including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Conduct wheel alignments and suspension repairs to ensure vehicle safety and optimal handling.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other drivetrain components with precision.
- Collaborate with team members to complete auto estimating for repairs and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle’s condition and service needs.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician experience working on Mercedes-Benz or similar luxury vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of Sprinter vans, including powertrain systems, electrical systems, ADAS technology, and diesel engine repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as alignments, welding, and general automotive repair.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, and auto estimating processes.
- Ability to read technical manuals accurately and follow detailed repair procedures.
