Overview
Join our family Horse Farm, become a vital part of maintaining a well-managed equine facility. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on environment, caring for 2 horses and supporting farm operations. You will be responsible for feeding and turnout in the mornings, cleaning stalls and paddocks, and then feeding in the late afternoon. ensuring safety standards are upheld across all farm activities. If you’re passionate about working with horses and possess a strong work ethic, this position provides an engaging and rewarding experience in horse farm management.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring to promote their well-being.
- Assist with handling, including safe loading, unloading, and movement of horses around the farm.
- Support infrastructure upkeep such as occasional mowing or trimming while maintaining safety standards.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of feed bags and hay bales.
- Maintain accurate records of animal health treatments.
Experience
- Experience working with and around horses is required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to heavy lifting protocols.
