Many of our drivers enjoy working with familiar customers and established routes rather than making residential deliveries to a different address every few minutes.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, safety awareness, and accountability. Drivers work closely with the Fleet Manager, loading team, and office staff to ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
You'll be responsible for loading assistance, material handling, securing fragile glass products, and delivering them safely while providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport glass products to commercial customer locations throughout Florida.
- Assist with loading and unloading fragile glass products.
- Properly secure and tie down loads before departure.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Verify load securement meets company and DOT requirements.
- Follow all DOT regulations, PPE requirements, and company safety procedures.
- Deliver products accurately according to manifests and scheduled routes.
- Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery documentation.
- Maintain communication with the Fleet Manager, dispatch, loading team, and customers throughout the day.
- Communicate delays, route changes, or delivery challenges promptly.
- Represent Shape Glass professionally at every customer location.
- Take pride in delivering products safely, accurately, and damage-free.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B License
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record (MVR required)
- Minimum one year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Experience delivering building materials, glass, construction products, beverage, or other commercial route deliveries is preferred.

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
