Job Overview
A growing personal injury law firm is looking for a paralegal or legal assistant with experience in handling personal injury cases. The right candidate shall have knowledge of auto insurance policies and coverage's, experience resolving property damage claims, and obtaining client information at the initial intake. The legal assistant will be required to draft letters to providers, auto insurance carriers, and health insurance providers. Additional duties and responsibilities include client follow-up calls, reporting claims to insurance carriers, requesting and obtaining policy coverage information, requesting and obtaining medical records and billing statements from medical providers, preparing the file for settlement, preparing closing documents, and preparing files for litigation. Candidate shall be proficient in English and Spanish, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law is essential.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing case files and documentation.
- Ability to conduct interviews effectively while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience with project management principles to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
