Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and effective driving lessons for diverse student groups, including teens, adults, and individuals with special needs.
- Deliver classroom-based instruction on traffic laws, safety practices, and defensive driving techniques.
- Lead practical driving sessions in standard passenger cars, motorcycles, and off-road environments to teach highway maneuvers, night driving, adverse weather techniques, and specialized skills such as motorcycle safety.
- Assess each student’s progress and tailor instruction to meet their unique learning styles and needs.
- Maintain clear communication with students to foster confidence and ensure understanding of all driving concepts.
- Enforce adherence to traffic regulations during lessons while promoting safe driving habits.
- Support client engagement through professional communication and personalized instruction plans that promote continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior driver instruction with a strong understanding of classroom management and practical teaching methods Is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in operating standard passenger cars.
- Ability to instruct on a wide range of topics including defensive driving, night driving, adverse weather techniques, highway maneuvers, off-road driving, motorcycle safety, driver rehabilitation programs, and traffic safety.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and adherence to safety standards across various driving environments.
- Experience in adult education or working with students requiring special needs driver instruction is preferred Is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in teaching teen drivers is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for adverse weather conditions and complex traffic situations while maintaining a positive learning environment.
