About the Role
We're looking for a reliable Van Driver to pick up and deliver semi truck and trailer parts between our shop, parts distributors, and dealerships. This role is key to keeping our fleet and repair operations running smoothly — you'll be the person making sure the right parts (often large, heavy, or specialty items) show up where they're needed, on time.
What You'll Do
- Drive a company van to pick up heavy-duty parts from distributors, dealers, and suppliers (e.g., engine components, brake assemblies, axles, trailer parts, hoses, filters)
- Deliver parts to our shop, job sites, or customers as needed
- Verify orders against packing slips/invoices before leaving pickup locations, checking part numbers carefully
- Safely load and unload heavy, bulky, or awkward parts using proper lifting technique, dollies, and straps
- Secure parts properly in the van to prevent shifting or damage during transport
- Keep accurate records of pickups and deliveries (mileage, receipts, delivery confirmations)
- Communicate with the parts/service team about delays, shortages, backordered parts, or wrong-part issues
- Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, tire pressure, fluid levels) and report any maintenance needs
- Keep the van clean, organized, and stocked with basic supplies (straps, dollies, moving blankets, etc.)
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies, especially when handling heavy freight
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Driving experience (delivery, courier, parts runner, or similar preferred)
- Ability to lift [50–100 lbs] regularly and handle heavy, bulky parts with help from equipment (dollies, straps)
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for routes, GPS, and order tracking
- Good communication skills and a strong sense of reliability/punctuality
- Experience with semi truck, trailer, or heavy-duty parts
- Must pass a background check and driving record check
Pay: $16.99 - $17.96 per hour
