Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Overhead Crane Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate overhead cranes to safely move, load, and unload heavy materials and precast concrete components within our production facility. Your expertise will ensure efficient materials handling while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and operational standards.
Duties
- Operate overhead cranes with precision to lift, move, and position heavy precast concrete elements and materials across the production site
- Perform routine inspections of cranes, rigging equipment, and hydraulic systems to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with team members to plan lifting operations and ensure smooth workflow within the plant
- Rig loads properly using appropriate techniques for secure lifting and transportation of materials
- Follow all OSHA safety standards, workplace safety regulations, and company policies during crane operation and materials handling
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, boom trucks, or other heavy equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate records of crane usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating overhead cranes in a construction or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of crane systems, hydraulics, rigging, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to interpret lift plans and understand materials handling requirements
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards and industry best practices
- Valid certifications for crane operation; additional certifications in forklift, backhoe, excavator or boom truck operation are a plus
- Experience working on construction sites or in industrial manufacturing environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
