Job Summary & Requirements:
The IT Field Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of technology infrastructure and end-user systems at customer and company locations. This role includes deploying and troubleshooting network equipment, security cameras, audio/visual systems, televisions, wireless access points, structured cabling, and workstation devices while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related equipment.

Install and maintain security camera systems, network video recorders (NVRs), and physical security devices.

Mount and configure televisions, digital signage displays, and audio/visual equipment.

Perform structured cabling installations including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, and cable management.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues in the field.

Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

Conduct site surveys to assess customer requirements and recommend solutions.

Document installations, network diagrams, configurations, and service activities.

Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project completion.

Provide technical training and support to end users as needed.

Ensure compliance with company standards, safety practices, and industry best practices.

Participate in on-call support and emergency response activities when required.
Preferred Qualifications
-
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.

Experience with Cisco, Ubiquiti, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba, or similar networking platforms.

Experience with structured cabling certification and testing tools.

Knowledge of access control and building security systems.
