Live-in caregiver position with private room and board included
Amreen Homes is a family-owned, licensed residential care provider in Valley Center, California, about 30 minutes inland from the North San Diego County coast. We run two six-bed homes supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and we are hiring a live-in Direct Support Professional.

What is included
Private furnished living space, rent-free.
Room and board provided.
Competitive hourly pay, paid separately from your housing.
5-day workweek with optional weekend hours.
Paid on-the-job training.
What the work looks like
You will live on-site and support residents with daily living activities and personal care, help build independent living and life skills, administer and document medications, assist with meal preparation and housekeeping, and help maintain a calm, safe, respectful home. Much of this job is presence and consistency. The residents know their caregivers, and steadiness matters more here than credentials.
What we are looking for
Willing to live on-site full-time. Compassionate, dependable, and patient. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain. Previous caregiving, DSP, group home, or residential care experience is a plus, and training is provided either way.
Background clearance
This position requires DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance under California Title 22. Some records can be cleared through California's criminal record exemption process, and we are willing to go through that with the right person. Certain convictions are barred by statute and cannot be exempted.
