CC Young, a 5 Star Continuing Care Retirement Community and a not-for-profit leader in Senior Housing and Health Care, has immediate openings for a seasoned Medication Aide (CMA) 12-hour shifts to be responsible for preparing and administering medication and monitoring and documenting medication results and side effects for residents in Skilled Nursing.
Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm with every other weekend off
Pay: $19.50 - $20.70 per hour based on experience. Also offers a $5.00 weekend differential
The job duties for these positions include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares, administers and documents medications as prescribed and according to established procedures and best practices.
- Observes, documents and reports noted reactions or side effects of prescribed medications.
- Takes and records vital signs.
- Counts and signs for controlled drugs and maintains medication rooms and refrigerator in a clean and organized manner.
- Manages the Nurse station and responds to phone calls and questions from visitors, residents, employees and the medical staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Our new team member will possess the following minimum qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in good standing in the State of Texas.
- 1+ years of experience as a CMA and CNA in a hospital, long-term care or other healthcare facility.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills for interaction with all levels of Company, Resident, Guest, Vendor and Medical personnel.
- Proven computer skills for performing patient documentation.
