Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education (CDE SPED) licensure required.
- Experience working with students who have significant support needs, preferably at the elementary level.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with faculty, families, and other service providers.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptive educational environment.
- Must be available to work onsite according to the school schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized education plans for students with significant support needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Modify and adapt curriculum materials to match individual student learning levels and needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to deliver cohesive student support.
- Track student progress, provide regular updates, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and positive behavioral interventions.
