Equipment Technician (Road)
Location: East Hartford, CT – On-site with travel

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hr shifts (overtime available), no nights/no weekends

Job Purpose
As a Road Equipment Technician, you’ll provide on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for Bobcat equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs in the field
- Use diagnostic tools (including ohmmeters) to troubleshoot issues
- Maintain accurate service records and parts usage
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide professional service
- Collaborate with shop team for parts and technical support
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of heavy equipment technician experience
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable work history and commitment to safety
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and service software
