Help Shape Teaching and Learning
The Verona Area School District (VASD) is seeking a collaborative, student-centered, and equity-focused Instructional Coach to join the District. Openings exist at Badger Ridge Middle School, Stoner Prairie Elementary School and New Century / Verona Area International Elementary Schools.
This position partners with teachers, school leaders, and district staff to strengthen instructional practice, improve student outcomes, and support professional learning. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator who is passionate about coaching adults, using data to drive instruction, and creating equitable learning experiences for every student.
What You'll Do
As an Instructional Coach, you will:
- Provide individualized instructional coaching to teachers and instructional staff.
- Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) and collaborative team meetings.
- Support implementation of high-quality, standards-based curriculum and instructional practices.
- Use student data, classroom observations, and instructional feedback to improve teaching and learning.
- Design and facilitate professional learning aligned with district and school improvement goals.
- Coordinate district and state assessments at the building level.
- Partner with school leadership to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster culturally responsive instructional practices and help eliminate barriers to student success.
- Collaborate with district instructional coaches to ensure consistency and continuous growth.
Qualifications
Required
- Wisconsin DPI certification in Regular Education.
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience with evidence of teacher leadership.
- Strong instructional knowledge, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to equitable educational practices.
Preferred
- Reading and/or Math licenses.
- Experience or knowledge of personalized learning.
- Experience with culturally relevant pedagogy.
- Experience with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
- Bilingual (Spanish) language skills.

Pay: $56,698.00 - $95,000.00 per year
