Experienced Barudan Embroidery Machine Operator / Department Lead

Stitches Clothing Co. is rebuilding our commercial embroidery department, and we’re looking for an experienced embroidery operator who knows commercial multi-head embroidery and is ready to help us build the department from the ground up.
This is NOT an entry-level position.
We are looking for someone who can come in with the knowledge and experience to help get our Barudan multi-head machines into production, establish efficient workflows, troubleshoot issues, maintain quality, and eventually help train additional embroidery operators as we grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Set up and operate Barudan multi-head embroidery machines
● Run production jobs from setup through completion
● Hoop polos, T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and other garments
● Set up and run hats using commercial cap frames
● Select proper backing, needles, thread and hooping methods
● Make thread/color changes and machine adjustments
● Troubleshoot thread breaks, tension, registration and sew-quality issues
● Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance
● Maintain high embroidery quality while keeping production moving efficiently
● Help organize and set up our new embroidery department
● Help establish production procedures and workflows
● Train new embroidery operators as we expand
Who We’re Looking For
Commercial embroidery experience is required.
Barudan experience is strongly preferred and will receive top consideration.
Experience with Tajima or other commercial multi-head machines will also be considered.
We’re looking for someone who understands embroidery production and doesn’t need to be taught the basics. You should be comfortable setting up jobs, troubleshooting machines, making adjustments, and producing quality work with minimal supervision.
Digitizing experience is a plus but not required.
Pay & Benefits
$19.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Candidates with strong Barudan multi-head experience, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train other operators will be considered toward the top of the pay range.
● Full-time, Monday–Friday
● Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
● Night shift may also be available
● 1 week paid vacation after the first year
● 2 weeks paid vacation beginning the second year
