Duties
- Operate flatbed tow trucks, wrecker units, and other recovery equipment to safely load, transport, and unload vehicles of all sizes.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate recovery or repair procedures.
- Secure cargo and vehicles following strict cargo securement protocols to prevent movement during transit.
- Assist with automotive repair tasks including basic mechanical troubleshooting and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers.
- Manage vehicle load & unload processes efficiently while maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate recovery operations and provide excellent customer service.
- Follow conflict management procedures when dealing with distressed clients or challenging situations on the job site.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating tow trucks or wrecker units, including flatbed and heavy-duty recovery vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and manual transmission systems.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is essential.
- Familiarity with cargo securement protocols, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and forklift operation is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform load & unload tasks safely while adhering to all safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent conflict management skills coupled with outstanding customer service abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs related to truck or vehicle mechanics.
