Job Description
First Coast Cardiovascular Institute (FCCI) is Northeast Florida’s largest hospital-independent cardiology group. FCCI is seeking a catheterization lab technologist to join our growing practice. The candidate will be a member of the cardiovascular and interventional services team and will be assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures.
Position Requirements:
A high school diploma and Associates Degree in a clinic or scientific field is preferred.
Clinical registration or licensure as one of: RCVT, RCIS, RRT or RTR.
Candidate with at least 1 year of cath lab experience strongly preferred
Must be organized, attentive, dependable, and motivated.
Position is full-time with some travel required
Position Summary:
Assist physicians in the tasks and responsibilities necessary in the performance of cardiac catheterization and peripheral angiography.
Independently provide patient care, pre and post procedure, with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Maintain & operate cath lab and recovery equipment
Use sterile techniques to set up and maintain the appropriate instrument and supply table for various procedures performed in the cath lab
Assist the physicians in the cath lab procedures
Maintain and operate image processing equipment
Strong background in Hemodynamic monitoring & complex physiological processes
