A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HELPING HAND
As a Helping Hand, you’ll get a first-hand look at what a CNA position entails. You will serve as a companion and ’helping hand’ to the residents of the facility. You will help with meal service, activities, and companionship while you observe the direct care responsibilities you will perform upon successful completion of a nurse aide training program. Helping Hands will be placed in our Nurse Aide Training program – an intensive 4-week training that involves both clinical and classroom experience. Upon completion, you are eligible and READY to take the state-issued Certified Nurse Aide training exam and will be offered a job at the facility you trained at! With patience and a calm demeanor, you treat those you care for just the way you would want your own family members treated. You go home each day feeling good about the positive impact you have made in the lives of so many in your community.
