Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements as needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits knowledge, to enhance guest selections
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including handling cash, processing tips, and closing checks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Support other team members with bussing tables, refilling beverages, or assisting in food preparation when needed
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, prompt problem resolution, and personalized interactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales revenue
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bartender is beneficial
