This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, installs new equipment, and responds to maintenance needs. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. May work around equipment and conditions such as heights, electrical systems, and machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects equipment, checks operating condition, and logs repairs.
- Performs maintenance jobs as requested and required.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance as needed.
- Installs new equipment and assists with the physical preparation of electrical wiring required for changes and additions.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures and operate equipment according to established safety policies.
- Updates equipment maintenance records as appropriate.
- Ensures management is informed of activities and concerns.
- Ability to solve complex problems and deliver solutions where past precedent may not exist.
- Maintain spare parts inventories and manage repair of drives, servos and other critical components made in Japan.
- Aid in unattended operations with others on 1st or 2nd shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced with all related equipment and maintenance tools including robots, forming, hydraulics, pneumatics, saws, punches, drill press, forklift, aerial platform, hand tools, etc.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, stand/walk for extended periods; push, pull and lift to 50 lbs.
- 2 to 5 years prior maintenance experience REQUIRED.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, including marijuana.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
