Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver who is able to drive and provide exceptional in-home care for clients requiring assistance with daily activities. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with aging, disabilities, or health conditions. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be responsible for creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment while ensuring all medical and personal needs are met with professionalism and empathy. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health through observation of vital signs, medication administration, and reporting changes in condition
- Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, hospice support, and catheter care
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient information accurately and securely
- Support patients with medical procedures such as Hoyer lift transfers, wound care, and managing medical devices
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and patient documentation standards (HIPAA compliance)
- Ability to observe patients closely for changes in condition and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; ability to drive clients safely as needed
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, Hospice Care training preferred; willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s or dementia
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
