School of Rock Plymouth is looking for a Vocal Instructor!
This is a super flexible, part-time position that works great for musicians, performers, college students, working artists, or anyone who loves music and working with people.
What does the schedule look like?
You choose what works for you:
- 1 day/week for about 2 hours
- OR up to 5 days/week for about 4 hours at a time
- $18–$20/hour

What you'll do
You'll work one-on-one with students, helping them become better singers and more confident performers. Lessons may include:
- Vocal technique, pitch, breathing, and performance skills
- Helping students learn songs they actually want to sing
- Building confidence and stage presence
- Preparing students for School of Rock performances
- Working with kids, teens, and adults
- Encouraging students and helping them discover what they're capable of
Who we're looking for
You don't need previous teaching experience! If you're a strong vocalist, musician, performer, or just someone who really knows their way around music, we'd love to meet you.
We're looking for someone who is:
- A confident singer/vocalist
- Friendly, energetic, and dependable
- Comfortable working with kids and teens
- Passionate about music and performance
- Excited to learn and grow as an instructor
Musicians are absolutely encouraged to apply. You don't have to have a teaching degree or years of classroom experience. We'll help you learn the teaching side of things.
