Job Description
[Facility Name] is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) travel contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a Weekend Warrior CNA seeking a consistent weekend schedule.
The facility needs weekend coverage but offers flexibility. Travelers must be available to cover at least 2 shifts between Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The third weekly shift may be worked on a weekday if preferred and based on facility scheduling needs.
CNAs will provide hands-on patient care and support while working collaboratively with nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Provide bathing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Support patients with meals and hydration as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable patient environment.
- Follow established care plans and facility procedures.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.
- Communicate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection-control and safety protocols.
- Work weekend shifts as scheduled and float or adjust assignments based on facility needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience preferred.
- LTAC or hospital experience preferred.
- Current, active CNA certification/license required according to applicable state and facility requirements.
- BLS certification required.
- Must be willing to work weekend night shifts.
- Must be flexible to work the third shift on a weekday if needed or preferred.
- Must meet facility and agency travel eligibility requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an acute-care environment.
Pay: $1,008.00 per week
