Overview

Duties
- Review customer drawings and specifications on a build-to-print basis, including military specification (mil-spec) requirements, and establish the associated inspection and process controls.
- Develop inspection planning for receiving, in-process, assembly, final, and test inspection.
- Investigate product complaints and reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
- Respond to customer issues and react accordingly.
- Perform internal and supplier audits in accordance with published schedules and procedures or specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct internal audits of Quality System.
- Participate in AS9100 audits.
- Review supplier purchase orders, ratings, and corrective actions.
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) and work actively with team including dispositions as required.
- Write technical procedures and Acceptance Test Plans.
- Coordinate and perform First Article Inspections per AS9100/AS9102.
Skills
- Requires strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
- Exposure to mechanical and/or automated inspection techniques.
- Thorough understanding of Quality systems and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills using MS Excel and other MS Office programs.
- Hands-on experience with receiving inspection and First Article Inspection (AS9102) in an AS9100 environment, including interpretation of military specifications.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements (drawings and standards) and implement them into the quality system or manufacturing process.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central or other ERP systems.
- Minimum 3 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing or distribution.
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
