Responsibilities
- Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to optimize time and fuel consumption.
- Deliver products to retail stores, clients, or distribution centers while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Conduct heavy lifting and merchandise handling with proper techniques to prevent injury and damage.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication, prompt service, and reliable delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, basic math skills, and sales techniques to support upselling efforts.
- Familiarity with retail store environments or merchandising is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial truck driving.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving is advantageous.
